The Archaeological Society of British Columbia
The ASBC was established in 1966 and is a non-profit society dedicated to the protection of archaeological resources and the spread of archaeological knowledge. There are three ASBC branches: Victoria, Vancouver, and Nanaimo. The ASBC publishes The Midden and ASBC newsletter “SocNotes.”

Initiatives
The Archaeological Society of British Columbia (ASBC) is working to fulfill our mandate to educate the
public, support students and First Nations communities in their archaeological research and engage the
CRM (Cultural Resource Management) community. In order to do this, the ASBC is now collaborating
